Grouping Crystals for a Task: Sodalite and Fluorite for a Presentation

Today I gave a five-to-seven-minute update at an all-company meeting on a topic outside my professional expertise, one I still happen to own for this company. I do not write scripts. I build slides and let the visual carry part of the load, an old habit from years of teaching. For the nerves — not anxiety, just the low hum in the stomach — I paired two stones for the job.

A light green fluorite mushroom sat on the laptop, facing the screen I’d be presenting from. Fluorite sharpens focus, and it does not need to be touched to work, only present. A sodalite worry stone stayed in my hand, thumb working the indent, generating friction and heat. Sodalite supports clear communication, useful for someone who tends toward tangents and whose speech impediment can scramble word sounds under pressure.

Two stones, two jobs: one anchoring focus in the room, one steadying the words leaving my mouth. That is grouping — not a pile of favorites, but stones assigned to a task.

After the presentation, I took a moment to decompress with Facebook – with my flourite and sodalite pairing still on my laptop.

What Sodalite and Fluorite Do

Sodalite – Active.

A deep blue stone associated with clear thinking and precise communication. It is used for public speaking, writing, and any situation where the right word matters more than the most words. It works on logic and language, not volume.

Fluorite – Passive.

Prized for mental clarity and focus. It filters distraction and steadies concentration rather than generating energy of its own. Fluorite comes in several colors, and the color shifts the emphasis slightly — green leans toward heart-centered focus and decision-making, which is why I chose it here over a purple or clear piece.

Paired, the two stones cover language and attention at the same time: sodalite for what I say, fluorite for staying on task while I say it.

Who Am I – You Ask?

I have dabbled in crystal-based synergies for more than 30 years and made it my 2026 goal to intentionally develop and deepen my practice. I specialize in crystal groupings for nuanced situations and to address multiple needs simultaneously.

I started this blog at a time in my life where everything centered around feeding people and singing everytime I could. That's why my site is named SingingAboutCooking. And since then I have continued to both find things that have served me and release others that were only destined for a season. If you are finding me in 2026 (last time this was updated), you are finding the CeCe who is still passionate about food, has retired from singing due to a medical condition, suffers daily from some new menopause symptom combination, has been diagnosed with autism as an adult eldest daughter female (IYKYK), is moving to the Anchorage-ish Alaska area in 2027, and has embraced her Scorpio crystal and divination witch self.
